WHAT WE DO
Mini Mermaid Running Club UK offer schools ready-to-activate programmes for girls, ages 7-11, which combine physical activity and mindfulness to strengthen girls self-confidence, self-esteem and self-compassion. Schools receive a curriculum that includes a mix of discussions, journaling, games and workouts to help a girl discover and celebrate her own worth and value.
HOW WE DO IT
We achieve this through a co-designed curriculum that celebrates heart, mind and body strength. Our multi-year programmes, designed to fit into your schedule, include discussions, journaling, games, workouts and culminates with a 5km challenge. Our programmes run in schools and community centres, delivered by school staff, parents and 3rd-party deliverers.
We use running; its simplicity makes it accessible to everyone. We work to get all girls involved, especially those at risk of stopping physical activity, by creating a fun, judgement-free environment in which girls feel safe exploring different types of movement. Running, in all its various forms, acts as the conduit through which girls experience the joy of being active and feel the connection between movement and well-being.

MEET MINI MERMAID and SIREN
Let us introduce you to Mini Mermaid and Siren, the two main characters of all our programmes. Mini Mermaid, our inner cheerleader and Siren, our inner critic represent the two voices we hear in the world and in our own hearts. Telling the difference between the two leads to clarity and mindfulness. Over time, girls turn their Mini Mermaid voice into a powerful force, better equipping them to take on every challenge and pressure they face.
